EKKO/HÁDDIDUS Kickoff (Open event)

In occasion of Marked for Musikk and YAMsession, Bodø 2024, Nordland County Council invites to EKKO; a family-friendly celebration of music for children and youth!

In an exciting collaboration with Bodø2024, Bodø municipality, Samfunnsløftet, Stormen-kvartalet, and Market for Music, Nordland County Council invites to EKKO – an open mini-festival for youth, children, and families.

It all starts with a kickoff outside Stormen Concert Hall, Bodø’s main cultural venue, where we’ll witness a performance by Nyholmen Kompani, experience atmospheric tunes from Bodø Cathedral Youth Choir, before it all concludes with a performance by the renowned artist Kajsa Balto and her band.

After the outdoor concert, youth aged 12-19 are invited to a concert with LÜT and Ingrid Jasmin at Stormen Concert Hall.

I anledning Marked for Musikk og YAMsession, Bodø 2024, inviterer Nordland Fylkeskommune til EKKO; en familievennlig feiring av musikk for barn og unge!

I et spennende samarbeid med Bodø2024, Bodø kommune, Samfunnsløftet, Stormen-kvartalet og Marked for Musikk inviterer Nordland Fylkeskommune til EKKO – en åpen minifestival for ungdom, barn og barnefamilier.

Det hele startes med et Kickoff utenfor Stormen Konserthus, Bodøs storstue, der vi får se en oppvisning av Nyholmen Kompani, oppleve stemningsfulle toner fra Bodø Domkirkes Ungdomskor, før det hele avsluttes av den anerkjente artisten Kajsa Balto med band.

Etter den utendørs konserten inviteres unge mellom 12-19 år inn til konsert med LÜT og Ingrid Jasmin i Stormen konserthus.

About the Northside Breakers 

Northside Breakers is a dance group founded in 2018, led by Robin Silberg and Jayson Rheil. The group consists of dedicated breakers who travel and compete at a high level. They have won Arctic Jam, an international breaking competition in Tromsø, and several members have also won Soul Session Extended in Oslo, as well as placed on the podium at the Norwegian Breaking Championships. Additionally, the dance group performs shows around Bodø and is frequently seen in the city’s cultural scene. Northside Breakers represents multiple cultures and generations, with a goal to keep the dance community in Bodø thriving.

 

About Bodø Domkirkes Ungdomskor:

Bodø domkirkes ungdomskor (Bodø Cathedral Youth Choir) is a choir for girls aged 14 to around 22, affiliated with Bodø Cathedral’s music school. The choir was founded by former cathedral organist Magne Hanssen in 1987 and is currently conducted by cathedral organist George Chittenden. The choir is especially known for its Lucia concerts, which pack the cathedral in Bodø every year on December 13th. They have toured on every continent and are a popular and well-known choir in their hometown.
