Marked for Musikk values the input of children and youths highly and actively involves the young audience to whom the event ultimately is meant to gain.
AUDIENCE
Children and youths from local schools and kinder gardens are present during most concerts and play an important role in creating an authentic setting for the musicians.
HOSTS
Pupils from a local secondary school assist during the event with rigging, presenting concerts, and making sure that artists and participants feel welcome while they are at Marked for Musikk.
BLOGGERS
Marked for Musikk has a collaboration with Scenekunstbruket – The Norwegian Network for Performing Arts – and their project “Young Voices” (“Unge stemmer”). Pupils from a local secondary school write critiques of selected concerts in a blog during the event. The pupils have an introductory course in how to write an art critique. The blog can be read on www.ungestemmer.no
MUSIC ANTENNAS
The Music Antennas are pupils who give adult participants the opportunity to get direct feedback after a concert from a young person’s perspective. The pupils are given a short introductory course in how to verbally critique a concert beforehand. We collaborate with a local primary school and the age of the Music Antennas varies from year to year, but they are primarily between the ages of 9 and 12 years old.
